Welcome on the Russian Launch BlogSpot!

• If you work with this site on a mobile device, you would not see the menu. Instead, a line with the word Home and a pop-down indicator appears.
  Clicking on that pop-down indicator will open the widget with the selection of menu items.
  
• You may go through any of the sections for your every-day practise of reading and speaking skills, and for completing the homework assignments as well.
• The menu items lead to the pages with relevant links.
• The training functionality is the same on all the pages.
  • You click an (ear) button, and your browser replays the relevant word or phrase in Russian.
  • Clicking a button (with lips) provides your browser access to your mic. It is indicated by blinking red circle in the corner of the tab name. You need to utter in Russian while that red circle is on.
    When uttering, you need to speak distinctly and loudly.
    Absence of any message indicates that the browser has not captured any sound.
    If your browser understands you, your Russian company would also do.
• When a page loads for the first time, a significant delay (up to dozens of seconds) is possible before your browser replays a word after you click the relevant button. After that, it will replay without any delay.
• General rules of troubleshooting apply if replay suddenly stops or red circle stops to appear. Refresh or close and open a page, or restart your browser, or reboot your gadget.
• If your browser fails to replay any word or you find the system is wrong when analysing your utterance, or you can not repeat a word or phrase correctly after multiple attempts – do not hesitate to write about that in the comments.
• If the pages contain cartoons or video fragments, try to imitate the pitch, intonation and other aspects of the personas voices.
• The pages were tested in Google Chrome (the latest update) running on Windows 8 PC and Android.
• When you work with the pages using your smartphone and some page is not fit, rotate your gadget horizontally.
• In the Vocabulary section, you may sort the columns by clicking on their headings. Extra clicking switches the sorting order: ascending or descending.
  Searching by any column of the table is also provided.
  To enable search with filtering, you need to enter at least two letters in the search field.
• The Vocabulary page contains the words to be learnt by heart to pass the tests.
• The pages in the Phonetic section contains the words to practice your pronunciation.
• The used functionality is not limited to Russian or English. You may evaluate this technology in the posts under the Other Languages section.
